Purpose:
The ATSA Olympics was designed to promote the National Athletic Training Month (March) by having a symposium for current high school students.
This symposium offers information on human anatomy, injury evaluation, and rehabilitation, which is presented by the students. A guest speaker
will present to the students as well on a variety of topics. Also students will compete in a written simulation, practical team
competition, and ankle taping competitions for the ATSA Cup.
History:
The event was started in the Spring of 2004, to have students teach and learn from each other and to promote athletic training and the medical field
Competition:
Competition events include a written multiple choice exam, simulation exam, practical team competition, and ankle taping contest.
Team Competition:
To compete in the Team Competition, a school must have at least three students present at the ATSA Olympics. The team score will take the three
highest scores in the written & simulation exam no matter how many students are present from their high school. The ankle taping & practical team
competition will also be included in the High School's team score.
Individual Competition:
Each individual student at the ATSA Olympics will be eligible to compete in the individual competition. The individual with the highest average
