Injury Information

Injuries can occur to any person, any where, at any time.

Athletes, parents, coaches, & spectators need to learn the basics of First Aid / CPR in order to understand and deal with an injury.

This page will help you with basic information on how to treat common injuries

RICE Method

Most injuries can be treated by this method

  • R = rest, relax and stay off of or don't use injured area more than you have too.
  • I = ice, use something cold to help with pain relief, reduce swelling & discoloration.
  • C = compression, helps disperse swelling, wrap the injured area with a elastic bandage securely above and below the joint or body part.
  • E = elevation, raise the injured body part above the heart, sleep with the injured extremity on a pillow if possible.
