Provides students with experiences in designing, developing, evaluating aircraft, space vehicles, and their operating systems. Emphasis includes investigation and research on flight characteristics and analysis of aerodynamic design. Classroom instruction provides opportunities for creative thinking and problem-solving activities using appropriate software to design, test, and evaluate a variety of air and space vehicles, their systems, launching, guidance, and control procedures. Daily emphasis is placed on applying mathematical, scientific, and engineering principles. It is recommended that students have passed Algebra 2.
