Declaration Process

To join the Community a student must declare their intentions to become a member. Membership in the Engineering CFLC requires;

• The successful completion of either of the two entry-level semester long classes
  • Drafting I
  • Introduction to Engineering Design
• Two teacher recommendations
  • One from an entry-level class teacher
  • One from a teacher of your choice
• Completion of the Declaration of Intent Form

Completed declaration materials will be submitted to the Engineering CFLC career advisory committee for review and recommendation. Recommended students will be assigned a career advisor and an initial advising meeting will be scheduled. During this meeting students and their advisors will review declaration materials, discuss their career pathway, and develop a plan for course selection in preparation for Fall registration.

All Declaration of Intent Forms must be submitted to John Geraghty, Lead Teacher of the Engineering CFLC in Room 2401.
