Students planning to apply to the Robodogs FIRST Robotics Team: Completed applications are due next Tuesday, September 2nd, by 2:45pm. Applications are available in the article below and at robodogs.org .

An Indoor Track Interest Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 3 @ 2:45 in Rm. 204.

The PSAT will be given on October 15. Freshmen and Juniors are encouraged to register to take this practice test. The fee is $14.00 and students can register in Student Services. All sophomores will take the assessment for free and do not pre-register.

Girls basketball workouts will begin on Tuesday, September 2nd at 2:45pm in the Aux Gym. You must have a current physical on file in order to participate. You may pick up a workout calendar from Coach Meyers' office door beginning August 25th.

Tickets for the Derrick Law Football Classic in Myrtle Beach, SC are now on sale. Southeast Raleigh will play Socastee, SC on Saturday Aug. 30th at 5:45 pm. Tickets are $10 and all tickets purchased in advance brings 50% of the proceeds to our program.

Robodogs FIRST Robotics Team

Joining the Team

The Robodogs are currently accepting new membership applications for the 2014-2015 season. If you are interested in mechanical or electrical engineering, computer programming, graphic design, video production, animation, web page design, marketing, business management, public relations, or community service, then the team has something for you. There are also over $20 million in scholarships available exclusively to high school students on FIRST teams.

Any students interested in becoming part of the team must fill out the application. All applications must be turned in no later than Tuesday, September 2nd. Applicants turning in completed applications by Tuesday, August 19th will receive priority in the selection process and be given early notification. Read and follow all application directions very carefully, as incomplete application will not be considered.

More Information

Interest meetings for students who would like more information will be held after school in room 503 on Friday, August 8th and Wednesday, August 13th. Both meetings will cover the same information.

An information and Q&A session for parents of interested students will be held on Tuesday, August 26th at 7:00pm in the SRMHS library.

Parking Passes & Off-Campus Lunch

Parking Registration

Parking Registration for the 2014-2015 school year is now available.  Parking passes are $170.  You will need your SRMHS Phoenix student login information to begin the registration process.  Spaces will be assigned in order of payments received.  Upon completing registration, you will be directed to make your $170 payment online, so have a debit or credit card ready.

Paid for parking passes will be available for pick-up on July 18th from 8am-Noon and July 21st from 1pm-4pm.  Students who do not recall their Phoenix password can also come during these times for assistance.

Off-Campus Lunch

Seniors and eligible Juniors have the option to leave campus for lunch with parent consent.  The Off-Campus Lunch Request form must be submitted, along with a $10 cash processing fee, for any eligible student wishing to take advantage of this privilege.  Juniors must have a 3.0 or higher GPA to be eligible for off-campus lunch.  The form must be signed and notarized and should be turned in on either July 18th from 8am-Noon or July 21st from 1pm-4pm.  If you had off-campus lunch last school year, you must still submit the form to request it for this upcoming school year.
